This is, exactly what it says, about me. My name is Haley Crenwelge. That is pronounced like this: Krin-well-gee (soft 'g' sound). It's originally French as Grenvilloueax (or something like that) and then went to Grenville in Germany for quite some time. Then from border to border it evolved until it got to America where it is now Crenwelge. Just in case you were wondering.
:-)
Currently I am 19 years old (one of the youngest authors of the Romany series), the second oldest of ten kids, and a high school graduate from Faith Academy Homeschool that aspires to be an author, wedding planner, and Pastor's wife with a degree in Cosmetology. No, I am not married yet and there is currently no one on the horizon, but I believe God is calling me to be a Pastor's wife.
I work several part time jobs that combined make me feel like I'm working full-time plus! Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning plus Wednesday evenings I work in the childcare department at Champion Forest Baptist Church. On Mondays I am the cheif sweeper and supervisor of the sweeping/mopping department as a part of the janitorial crew at my church, North Belt Baptist. I also chaufer my great grandmother to and/or from her adult daycare place Monday and Friday mornings and afternoons, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, and to her hair appointment on Thursday afternoons. In between all of that I have a kitchen to clean at home. Whew!
In a busy home as ours is, I feel like I never have time to do anything, but truth be told, I spend most of my free time writing which is one reason why I feel like I never have the time to do anything. But I love writing and I know that if I were to try and "slow down" I would almost quit altogether!
I play the violin, piano, and guitar, and enjoy playing volleyball and watching the Houston Texans football games. I am a Longhorn 'til the day I die! I am also a big supporter of the Houston Astros (Craig Biggio will always hold a special place in my heart!) I love kids (I want 24 of them when I get married) and the country. I'm a redneck by birth and proud of it.
Texas is where I live and it's where I shall live no doubt for the rest of my life, you couldn't find a better place on earth. She's my world.
Historical fiction is what I write...most of the time. This whole blog was started for Aquila, though, which happens to be a fantasy novel. I've never written a fantasy novel and never imagined writing one but it just so happens that Aquila will be my first published work despite my lack of knowledge in such an area. Nevertheless, once you have met Aquila, you will no longer receive anything from the fantasy genre from me. :-) I shall be just as happy about that as no doubt you will be when you read it. :-D Please read her story and leave me comments! Writers thrive on feedback, LEARN THAT NOW! :-D
Thank you!
